how do i check to see if my photosmart printer is offline?

Hi,sorry i never thought to give that info,my printer is a hp photosmart b110 series touch screen etc..and have had nothing but problems with printing,thanks x

I bought this printer when i bought my new desktop pc,the main bugbear is trying to print from the microsoft office 2010 that was already on the all in one printer,and it says cannot connect printer unavailable!or unable to connect to printer,then i find out that this is offline,x

Hi VEAHEN,

I have a PhotoSmart Premium C310 (provided by HP) and on the rare occasion that I find the printer offline, I  just touch the touchscreen to bring the printer out of offline status. No matter which printer you own, sometimes a restart, reinstallation of driver software or firmware update is necessary to resolve issues.

There are firmware updates for all operating systems, except Linux, available at the web support portal for your printer. One specific update for Windows 7 64-bit  addresses a networking connectivity issue.

Here are some diagnostic utilities that HP has created that may help you solve your printing issues.

Please do not make it a necessity for us to ask you all of the things that were in the template for a first post and in the "is it your first time here?" topic.  More information is far better than very little.

What is the operating system of the PC that you are using to access the printer?

If it is Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system then select and double-click on Printers & Devices.

Double click on the icon for your printer.

With my Windows 7 OS and PhotoSmart C310 I will see the following image. To the right of the printer image where you see that it says ready, there is an i. Click on the i to see the Printer properties window.  If your printer is offline, it will say offline, so you will need to select the Printer tab and then deselect use Printer offline.
