I have an 18 month old unit that has printed less than 10,000 pages total.  The print quality deteriorated recently and white streaks approx 1 inch apart appeared across the page in the direction of print-head travel.  After replacing both printheads, numerous cleanings, realignments, and diagnostic printouts, the problem persists.  HP Support looked at what I faxed them as an example of the problem and refused to warranty/replace the Blk/Yel printhead as it would not in their opinion fix the problem.  They stated it was a "printer" problem and not a print-head problem.  The cyan/magenta/yellow colors seem to be ok, only the black has gaps on the diagnostic printouts.  Any thoughts?  Did I get a lemon?
