hp designjet 500 - picture of plotter w/ X in display

We have a DesignJet 500 Plotter that won't shut off.  The display is a picture of a plotter with a flashing X on the right side of the plotter.  We have unplugged it several times, and when plugged back in the plotter won't initialize and the display is unchanged.  The on/off button doesn't work and seems to be nonfunctional.

This forum is focused on consumer level products.  For the Designjet you may have better results posting in the HP Designjet forum here.
