hp photosmart 5510 ......sever connection 403 .....and air print wont work with i phone

wireless and e print are working fine but apps cant connect to internet and airprint not working .....i have read most of the posts on this and reconfigured the manual  ip address in networking etc , after doing this by changing my ip to routers ip 192 168 1.1 , i tried to connect to internet and got a new error code ( error connection error  -1) instead of 403 ...then my sons lap top had no gateway but was logged on to router   ..... so had to change back and put to automatic ....im now back to square one and getting again connection error 403 and printer will not conect to internet and the only function in print is that all i can do is send by eprint from i phone . can some tell me why im having problems or someone give me solution ,an idiot step by step walk through as it says on the screen please anyone .....

What is your current router make and model? Some routers do not support Bonjour and Airprint will not work.

If your router does support Bonjour, I would suggest reconnecting the printer to the network by running the Wireless setup wizard and try to connect again. If this does not help, you may need to change some DNS settings within the printers EWS (embedded web server) To do this, put the IP address into a browser window on your PC.

This should launch the EWS. Within the EWS, select the network tab. under the network tab, select "networking".

Then select "network address" (IP). Do not change the IP configuration at the top. Go to the bottom under "DNS Address configuration “and select "Manual DNS server”. Under manual DNS server, input 8.8.8.8 (one 8 in each box) on the first line, and 8.8.4.4 on the second line. Hit the "Apply" button at the bottom.

Now try to connect.

hi my router is a TP LINK  TL-WR740N  , i moved printer closer to router yesterday and airprint worked but today NOT  ...  i did try changing the manual dns settings with  8 8 8 8 and  8 8 4 4  the other day but did not work also .. thanks for the tips ..

Have you checked your print queue on the iPhone? To do this, simply click the home button twice. This will generate a new list of currently running apps at the bottom. Look for one called "print center" If you see this running, you have print jobs stuck in queue. You will need to delete these jobs before a print job can be sent.
