ink to be left on or not

I have just bought an HP Deskjet F4500 All-in-One series Printer and would like to know if I leave it on when not in use or turn it off (will it use my inks every time I turn it back on?)as I used to have an Epson All-in-One before and was told to leave the main power on at all times as it would use more ink otherwise. Help in this matter would be much appreciated

Hi Sportylady,

 

The printer your refer too uses very small amounts of ink on start up but whether you turn off and on printer really depends on how often you print. If you only print once a week or less than I would probably turn the printer off.
