Unfortunately, despite my research prior to buying that says states the HP 4500n-z DOES print in mirror image mode,,,,,it does not. Even if you choose "HP T-Shirt Paper" as the type of paper it does not print in mirror. It is supposed to prompt you to the advanced options screen after choosing the paper and checking the YES box for mirror but it does not appear anywhere. I spoke with HP Customer Service today and they were no help at all with finding the option OR figuring out an alternative.
I even tried screen printing the Word file and pasting it into MS Paint to flip the image after converting it to a jpeg but MSPaint did not recognize all of the font used from the oringinal document so it changed the font to a recognized format.
It sucks because EVERY printer I've owned for the last 10 years has had a MIRROR printing option. I use it quite often for various things and I really do need the functionality. Hence, why I did the research prior to buying the printer. It took me two hours to set up the 4 machines in my house to recognize this printer and I don't feel like unistalling it and starting over again so I may just keep it as it does seem to be a decent printer despite this elementary oversite.
HP...PLEASE update the drivers so this function is accessible..!..

I ran out and bought the HP 4500 (wired) on Sunday, March 18, 2012 to finish a church project. The project includes iron-on transfers, and I need the mirror image feature desperately! I have owned two HP All-In-Ones prior to this one, and both of them had mirror image features. Of course, both of the previous HP All-In-Ones were rendered useless after they started refusing to pick up and feed any paper that was not 20 lb. bond. I'm getting so frustrated with HP that - if there is not a fix for this mirror image problem - I will go through my trash, find the packing materials, and return it to Office Depot. Has anyone heard if there IS a fix for mirror imaging on the 4500? Please let me know... this project is due March 25, 2012.

As I scream, holler, yell and cuss... I thank you for your quick reply. Now excuse me while I go through my trash to find the packing materials and return this machine that does not suit my needs.
