officejet 6480-hesitates while printing; 30 seconds

Using both wireless or usb connection this printer, all of a sudden, hesitates while printing.  No warning, no error codes.  Cannot understand what is wrong.

Running Windows XP-sp3.   Any help would be much appreciated.
