re-regionalise printer d5160

Hi,

I have an Hp printer model D5160, I want to re-regionalise my printer in order to use USA cartridges instead of EUROPE cartridges.

Operating System: Windows XP-32Bits

Could you please help me to solve this problem?

From what I have read I need a 4digit code to regionalise the printer.

Hi Brian,

The pen regionalization proccess can be completed by using a code, however in order to product the code, data values taken from the printer will be required first.

The proccess can be done through the Phone support only.

Make sure you have the 98 Black and 95 Tri-color cartridges available. then contact the HP Call Center and you will be guided according the proccess:

800-474-6836, 24 hours a day.

Regardless the warranty status, you entitled for free phone support for the specific purpose.

I tried to contact HP Call Center in Spain. They told that they can not provide the code to complete the regionalization process because this printer is to old.

I also tried to call the phone you provide me, but I couldn´t call this number from europe.

Can you provide some help.

Hi Brian.

The call center in Spain my reset the printer to accept the local cartridges for Spain only. regardless the printer model or warranty status.

I afraid the printer rationalization will not be done for a different region.

Resetting the printer to accept US cartridges only offered for customers located in the US.

I affraid I want be able to provide much help for this situation.
