why is computer is not seeing my officejet pro 8500a?

When this started, I tried to print a document the printer was not in selection list. It is hiding and I can't find it.

 

I have uninstalled software and reinstalled.  I have replaced the USB cable with a new never used one. Cable was troubleshooting softwares suggestion.

 

Help is appreciated.

Hi,

 

You are using USB cable therefore the printer must be in the list of Plug-and-Play printers. It turned out you have to Plug-and-Pray. My suggestion: uninstall the printer on your machine, plug the printer in, it SHOULD ask for driver, you just put the CD (which comes with the printer) in and up you go.
