6500 plus scan to pc not working

Is it possible to use 6500 a plus to scan to pc using windows 7. or is this another HP blonder and wonder

Hi Norman5208,

Open the 6500 printer icon on your desktop, and then click on Manage scan to computer to make sure this feature is enabled.

I am trying to set up my scanning with my HP Photosmart 7510.  I try clicking on the Manage Scan to Computer so I can enable it, but nothing pops up to allow me to enable.

Is there any other way to get my printer to scan?

Thanks!  I ran the utility, but it doesn't see my printer/scanner.  I can print to it no problem on the wireless network, but it can't see the scanner. 

Any advice?

I would uninstall the printer, and then reinstall it using the full feature drivers from the link below.

I got it working...had to install it as a scanner then go in and change the security settings.
