Bloated 365 meg driver = hate.

I'm at a small business, they have a HP 1315 printer but no computer.  I've my laptop and mobile internet.  Need to print something out, but don't have HP driver.  Go to download it.

XP driver = 36 meg.  Hmm, big but ok.

Windows 7 driver. = 365 meg.  Gah!  Is that a misprint?   A third of a gig just for a printer driver?  Holy crap, it's going to take me an hour and half just to download it.

Why is it so huge compared to the XP one?  Ah, I see, they've cobbled it with a ton of junk programs I don't want and don't care about. No option to just get the basic driver, like XP users have.

I don't need your "extra functionality."  A waste of my time and bandwidth.  Ugh.  Hate.  Inconvienience.

Will avoid HP printers if possible.

Hello lkasdjfhasldkfh

Since you are running Windows 7 you should be able to add the basic print driver from the control panel (Windows will have the basic print driver). During the installation you will be shown a list of company names and you will see the drivers to the right. Locate HP and choose either the PSC 1300 or 1310. If you have any trouble with either of those drivers I would suggest trying the 990c.

Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" to those that help solve your problems.
