C4180 Software Problems

Downloaded Driver & Software will not install 

 

I have lost my install cd.

I have downloaded the full software package & the basic driver package. Both Freeze on step 3 of 4.

I have followed the steps in trouble shoot section. Remove all hp programs. Disable startup apps. Disable McAfee.

PC is a used Dell Precission with a fresh install of xp pro all updates.

 

 

The wife is going to have my head if she can not print her school files asap. Thanx in advance.

Well this sucks Ive wasted so many hours on this printer Im considering just buying a new one
This site has been no help at all isnt there spoused to be a hp admin in here who knows something
Ill just throw the printer in the garage with the other pile of crap hp pavillion im getting rid of
