C4580 Printer Installation Failing with Fatal Error "HPSLPSVC32.DLL failed to register" [ Edited ]

Trying to install on Windows XP Pro

At around 58%, I get the following error

 "Fatal error during installation Module C:\Program Files\HP\DigitalImaging\bin\HPSLPSVC32.DLL failed to register. HRESULT - 2147467259. Contactyour support personnel.

Please go to http://www.hp.com/support fortroubleshooting information about "Fatal Error" and"MSI.netdevicemanager01"

I have tried after downloading the latest full and cut down software but the result is same. I have followed disabling all services (as suggested by online solution) and been consistently rebooting system after unsuccessful installsI It did not work .... have googled and tried all the possible solutions.

I use trend micro antivirus which is disabled for this install. I am intending to connect wireless as printer is already setup and working wirelessly with my home machine running windows xp 

Any help to resolve this issue will be very much appreciated as I am really stuck

 Any geneous to help me on this. I am really struggling as HP email support is not getting me anywhere!

Open the attachment below, and type the same commands as shown into the command prompt. Make sure you're in the C:\ directory before starting to type these commands. Tell me the EXACT message you get when you type the last command, i.e regsvr32 hpslpsvc32.dll.

Thank you very much DexterM for getting back to me.

I am glad to let you and everyone else (who could face the similar issue) know that the issue has been resolved with help of HP support. It was an issue with the permissions in registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE ->  Microsoft -> Windows NT -> SvcHost

Right Click on SvcHost and select "permissions"

Administrators and Users should have "Full Control" permission. Reboot the machine and software should install

I have the same issue with the C7280 printer and have spent many hours with HP support to no avail.  Even changed the permissions.  I am close to moving on to another printer.  Can you offer any help?

I entered regsrv32 hpslpsv32.dll and got this reply: load library (hpslpsvc32.dll) failed - The specified module could not be found.

Problem solved!  I disabled my security software and then it loaded correctly.
