C4585 All in One and Windows 7 64 bit. compatability

Hi. I have a Photosmart C4585 All in One which operated perfectly well with my Vista. I used it mainly for scanning directly into Microsoft Word and editing the documents. I upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit and Ive had nothing but problems getting it to operate. Cant use the Solutions Centre ! When I connect the printer... my laptop is telling me it cant find the driver !.  Ive uninstalled and reinstalled.  Rebooted my router, laptop and printer several times to no avail.   HELPPPPPP Please. Is it compatible with Windows 7 ?

There is a driver available for Win 7 64 bit.  This is the suggested one. I assume you're already using that.

If you're trying to get scanning to work on that printer in Windows 7, have you tried running this?

Hi.! Yes I downloaded that and got as far as installed the 'twain' ?. It wouldnt install it said that it couldnt find the right path ?  ...everything keeps coming back to cant find the driver (apologies if this doesnt make much sense... Im not brilliant at this sort of thing). Also I have run that diagnostics thingy and it told me the same i.e. couldnt find the driver !! Gina..

Hi.  Ive run the Wizard and now the printer will print wirelessly from my laptop.  The Solutions Centre is still not working at all.  Just a little black box appears on screen saying that installation is not complete. !!
