During installation, the software complains about firewall software so I disable Symantec and Windows firewall. The wireless printer is detected but the installation can't complete as it states that the following ports are blocked:
Dot4 Port 9220
Snmp Port 161
TCP port 9500
TCP port 929
TCP port 9100
I went thru the task monitor and ensured that symantec and windows firewall are not running, tried to re-install but got the same error message...
any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
thanks

After some initial software install problems, which seamed totally unnecessary (a dll and an to old asbstor.inf) I have exactly the same problems with my C6380. The printer prints a positive report on the network connection, but the the computer cannot find the printervia the router when installing the software. The router (u.s. robotics) does not now the terms DOT4 and SNMP as reported by the installation program. I have tried everything to enable the required ports without any success. Even a DMZ on the appropriate IP address doesn't help. In the virus scanner I have defined the HP files as safe.
The third attempt resulted in an error message on DOT4 port 9220, SNMP port 161 and TCP port 9100. The 9100 port was no longer a problem later on, with no reason. I am desperate

Once the printersoftware is installed and errors occur its hopeless. Always completely remove it before trying anything.
Strangely now Skype stopped functioning, it has no connection to the network. Will it never end?

Hi, I have the same problem an dealing with tech support they ask me to install in other box and because it woked in another box the close the case. I had telnet the ports and run tools to know if they are open and they are ok. I was able to print from the telnet commands once opened. At the moment the only solution is to install USB and with a delay for startup of the box. Also performance has been an issue after USB install.
Is there any solution available????
Thanks in advance.
