CD isnt working for install

The HP Scan Diagnostics found problem is registry and it wants me to uninstall and reinstall...here goes. Will report back

Update you windows installer to verison 4.5

turn off all non micosoft services

do the uninstall, reboot and reinstall.

what do you mean windows installer 4.4? Are you talking IE? I used firefox could that be the problem?

 researched the web and found it before seeing this so I downloaed it from here:

http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/winstall-download.html

Now it installed but not sure where to find it so I will move on to reinstalling yet again the printer and I shut the Nortons and firewall down and all I have up is this firefox browser. I hope the site I found is the right windows instller 4.5. Again not sure how to be certain it fully downloaded and is working but here goes another install try.

same error message it says install not successful. I am so not happy and so put of a printer/scanner/copier. Help please

This is unreal the printer installed and shows in folder but when I click on the HP Solution Center icon it tells me no HP devices have been detected? I am at loss
