Cannot Print: "device is being utilized by another program"

I installed the HP C6150 software on my laptop which runs Vista Home 64.  The laptop prints perfectly to the wireless HP C6150.  I then installed the HP C6150 software to my desktop running XP Home.  The desktop prints perfectly to the wireless HP C6150.  But now the laptop is unable to print to the HP C6150.  The error message says the device is being utilized by another program.  I have tried to turn off the desktop and restart the HP C6150 but the error remains.

Re: Cannot Print: "device is being utilized by another program"

Adjusting sharing properties should clear this problem up. And, with more than 1 operating system (XP and Vista), the drivers will need to be installed on both computers. What that means is the printer will need installed on both computers, with the HP software. Once that is done, then Printer Sharing must be "checkmarked" in the settings for the C6150 through the control panel/printers folder. Sharing must also be allowed through the properties of the computer's network card. This procedure varies slightly for the 2 operating systems, so I won't try to list the steps here. However, essentially, finding the network card in device manager, and enable File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.  That will hopefully resolve the problem.
