Computer Does Not Recognize My Printer

I have an HP Photosmart c4450 All-In-One printer.

The computer does not recognize the printer, and vice versa.

I cannot print and do not have the CD that came with the printer.

Help please?

What would I download? Drive? Update? Utility - Diagnostic Tool?

You're going to want to download and install the driver for your version of Windows.  If there is more than one driver listed for your version of Windows, select "HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers."

I have the same issue as the other person. I have the following : HP Officejet 4500 G510n ( am using it wired due to not having a router) and  I have a MAC OS X 10.5.8

When I received the printer as a gift on June 24th I installed it the following day. Besides the computer not liking the CD that came with it ( it could not be read) and installing a driver from online everything was great until this morning. I tried to print and it went AWOL. I have unplugged all and left for 8 hours, replugged and tried again= no change in the dead status. I checked the printer cable on an older printer and the printer was recognized immediately. Back to square one. The computer is not recognizing the printer. Next step was to uninstall the software and reinstall. Did that  got to the area where communication needs to occur and nothing. I reregistered the product the day I initially installed it. I looked online to check warranty and nothing came up so I re-registered.  Please advise as to what my  next step needs to be. I NEED this printer.

I do not believe this is a MAC issue.

My laptop computer is not connected to my printer's IP address.  How do I get it connected.  It suddenly stopped printing a couple of days ago.  HP support could not solve it but said it the indications are that it is not connected to the IP address.  Anyone know how to do this?
