DESKJET F2410 Catridge issue

Hi,

I have a DESKJET F2410 All-in-One printer. It has come with a introductory catridge 60 black and 60 color. As my black catridge is over, I tried to purchase the same in my current location (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). But it is not available.

So based on my search in HP forums, I came to know that, 121 also compatible with this printer.

This information is given here.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&custom_solutionid=rb10040140&...

But after installation it says, incompatible catridge.

How to resolve this.

Regards

Vamshi

Re: DESKJET F2410 Catridge issue

You will need to contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.

You will need to Contact HP by phone to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. For your printer in India you will need the 818 cartridges.

Re: DESKJET F2410 Catridge issue

actually the problem is that my old catridges which were brought from kuwait are not in a working condition. when i called up to the customer care they said that the old catridges should be in a working condition then only they can perform a regionalisation reset.

What is the nature of "not working"?  If the cartridges are electrically sound but empty or clogged you may be able to coaxa page of printing out of the cartridges by soaking the black cartrdige nozzles down in about 1" of very hot water for about ten minutes.  Carefully dry the water from the electrical contacts and then reinstall in the printer.  If this does not work I beleive there are workarounds to allow printing the required test page with the new (but incorrect region) cartridges.

I will send you a private message asking for some further information, I may be able to help.
