Deskjet 3500 using Windows 7 64-bit. A few weeks ago the printer started to hang while printing, leaving the document in the queue, and won't stop blinking. I found that I could clear the print spooler (net stop spooler, etc.) from the command line and then try again to print the doc and it would work. But now that doesn't work. I have removed the device, and reinstalled it from the original HP printer software disk. No matter what I try, the 3500 won't print, it just sits there blinking. It does not display any error message. I've not made any recent software or hardware changes.

Your first mistake was purchasing an HP product. I myself have made the error and only after having looked online for solutions to my problems did i discover how horrid their reputation for quality and customer care is. That is why after waiting over a month for some help you have to get a reply from some stranger instead of having support from the company itself. Their products are almost offensive. For instance- You get a flashing light on your printer. What does it mean? How should you know? Theres only one light and one button and absolutely no other way to recieve information from the printer or to give the printer manual input. Maybe you are out of ink. Maybe its a driver. Maybe its bad paper. Maybe its your operating system. Maybe you should throw that piece of trash out and go shopping with me for a decent printer from a decent company. Pick you up around 5 pm. C ya then-
