As an extension of this topic, I discovered a problem with the scanning part of the device; it doesn't work.
When I start the HP solution center, and press the "scan picture" or "scan document" it crashes with the message "HP CUE-Scanning Flow Component has stopped working"

Locate the file hpqkygrp.exe file and double click on it,
Once you double click on hpqkygrp file then the cue scan flow component will start working.
Once you have double clicked on the file and if no error comes up , then close the HP Solution center and again open it and try to scan.
Let us know the result.

If that is the case, then a complete uninstallation and re-installation should do the trick. Try doing that and let us know if it worked.
Note:
Before you re-install the software, make sure that your anti-spyware, antivirus as well as your firewall are all turned off.

Hi,
Uninstalling & reinstalling may work.
But you can scan the picture in color & change it to black & white using photosmart essentail, this will work for sure.
Thanks & Regards,
Alyssa
