Driver and software for Windows 8

Does anyone know where I can find the driver and software for my Officejet 6500A Printer for Windows 8?

At this time there are no drivers currently available for Windows 8. Keep a close eye on the forums as more information becomes available.

I have an HP Deskjet 1050 all in one j410 series printer and was the last piece of hardware i tried to install on windows 8. The origanal drivers and software on the cd were not compatible nor was the latest drivers and software from hp's website. It was just by sheer luck that i searched for a solution on Microsofts windows 8 forums website a few people had found a solution ! If you go into the control panel and then Devices and Printers At the top where it says ' add a device' ' remove a device' etc, there is one that says 'Advanced printer setup follow the instructions on this and it might just work. It did for me!. It searched windows update and found two drivers ! one for my scanner and one for my printer On the devices page it does show two of the same make and model printers but it does work ! Obviously though there is as yet no software.

This worked for my Photosmart 3310, but the printer does not show up in Devices and Printers

I have literally DOZENS of applications and drivers, some very obscure that ALL function 100% on Windows 8. The only exception is the drivers and software for my HP D110 all-in-one. Though I can install it via compatibility mode, the solution center fails to run. The infrastructure and core of Windows 8 did not change from Windows 7. The only reasoning for failure is an operating system check hard-coded into the software which is casuing the failure. Very poor coding HP. No excuse for this software not to run and more important, months after the developer preview was released, to not even have a Windows 8 beta accessible. Pathetic!

Printer HP Photosmart Plus B210 series.

I can use printer, but I couldn't install SW from CD.. Error message not the right OS.

When can we expect from HP the installation SW ?

I have the HP Photosmart Premium 309g-m and windows 8 will not let me install the drivers it see's it some times but it want let me print to at all and idea's or help out there?

Sucessfully installed B210 wireless printer but cannot scan with Windows 8. Scanner is not showing up. I can reboot into Windows 7 and it works fine so it has to be a driver problem I think. Anyone know when these issues will be addressed of if there is a work around?

Agreed, HP is really in the ink business not the printer business. They always have an excuse for being behind everyone else!
Maybe they do not talk to MS, or MS does not like them!
I just received an 8500a replacement defective under warranty, good thing, but the flaming hoops one has to jump thru just to get a warranty replacement is unacceptable!
