Am trying to install a HP Laserjet 1012 to work under Windows 7- 64 bit and at HP Support, could find drivers for Vista -64-bit only.
I have tried to install this Vista - 64 bit driver and it does not seem to even print a test page.
Is there some other tweak that I need to make or
or
does it mean there will be no driver specifically usable for Win - 7 and I might as well junk the printer? ![]()
Thanks in advance.

Gee. You guys are on the ball! Thanks for the prompt reply, Manjunath.
The disappointing part is, after going through the Devices and Printers -> Add Printer -> Local Printer -> USB001 -> ... this printer i.e. Manufacturer: HP and printer: Laserjet 1010 Series is not even listed in the Windows 7 system's list of printers.
Hence I tried to use Have Disk button option in that window and then tried tio link the inf file in the unpacked extract of the file : lj1010serieshb-vista64.zip hoping that the Vista-64 drivers might work. The printer does install an icon in Device and Printers folder, but does not even appear in the list of printers, when I go to print a Notepad created file.
Hence this query in the forum. May be you guys have some tricks up your sleeve...![]()
Thanks.
Ajay

Ok Guys...
Can someone confirm if the procedure given below can work with my Windows 7 Version 6.1 (build 7601 Service Pack 1) machine?
Thanks.
