Goodbye, HP.

[ Edited ]

Wow.  I cannot express completely my disappointment with this horrid HP Photosmart D110 All-in-one device.  Hardware isn't too bad for the cost.  The software and drivers are unspeakable.  Did you actually hire a 2-year old to write the wireless network connectivity?  After having installed the software and drivers from scratch three times after uninstalling twice), I learned to keep the {Content Removed: Language Filter Evasion} printer on all the time.  But no.  I go to print a simple web page with map directions and I get the dreaded:

"hp solution center cannot run because your device installation is not complete"

And I can't do anything with the device.  Even though nothing has changed.  Not my network.  Not my computer.  Not the printer.

So, for the FOURTH (!!) time, I uninstall everything, reboot, unplug and restart printer, and, lo and behold, the crap software/drivers can't find the printer (which has found the wireless A/B/G/N router 5" away and provided an IP Address and to which I've set the SSID and Password (again)).  Yet after two hours of trying to find it.  Nothing.

I'm done.  Your all-in-one printer was a monumental waste of my time and money.  It is so bad that I will be making sure to spread the word to destroy your sales.  And I'll be tossing the printer into the trash and purchasing a new one from a more reputable company (Epson, Brother, who knows - ne'er again HP).  You need to wake up and fix your crap.  Two months and I've had nothing but problems.  10% good.  90% bad.  100% gone.

Good riddance and I will never purchase HP again.

5.1 audio with Logitech Z5500 (quality)

Logitech Trackman wheel (I own at least four of these amazingly rugged and well-supported devices)

Two Samsung 21" HD monitors

iMac Core-Duo with 4GB, MacOS 10.6

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

As you can see, I know computers.  25 years.  This is the worst printer I've ever used in that long time.  Go home ashamed!
