Hi MREnder,
You have set an admin password on the EWS - Embedded Web Server. This would not have been set from HP or by default. Review the private message I sent to you.

Thank you for your help, unfortunately it still asks for password and nothing seems to work. I am thinking someone took this one home and brought it back, may have setup passwords etc., and the manual was missing. I down loaded a manual and have not seen any mention of the admin password. Is there a default?

No, There is no default password. This would have been manually setup. Since resetting the printer hasn't resolved this issue you will need to call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

And go through everything again! I am currently getting no where! person seems to have no idea.

Hi MREnder,
Yes, since the resets have not cleared the password you will need to contact support. They can assist you with determining if this is a hardware failure, and as long as you are still under warranty they can setup a replacement unit to resolve the password issue.

Try entering the EWS using the https://IP adress of printer (Example: https://192.168.1.101). Let me know if this works?
