HP 5550dn printing VERY slowly???

I am printing a magazine issue with my HP 5550dn. There is a very long delay between printing pages (maybe two or three minutes) and the screen says "Processing Job". When I was printing yesterday and this morning, it was not doing this. Granted, this isn't a speed printer, but I was getting about seven pages (11x17) a minute earlier. Now there are these long pauses between printing. Any ideas?

 

I do know that I am getting low on toner but I don't know why that would affect the printer speed. I have rebooted the printer a couple times, deleted jobs, etc.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I figured out the problem ... I had aquite a few photos on the page that were very small so I didn't think they would cause a problem, but the number of photos was slowing it down.
