HP 6310 All-in-one network setup Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 so i have been trying to get my printer all set up with my network threw Ethernet cable. i can print stuff fine but i can not scan my printer dos not show that it is connected to my computer and when i try to open Hp solution it says no device detected i am running Vista  and have my firewall disabled.

In most cases on vista regardless you are an administrator of the computer or not before you run any software via the cd/or download try right clicking on the cd icon in computer and run as admin or your downloaded file depending on where you installed it too.
