We have a small network setup (10 computers approx.) with 6 of these setup to plot A1 drawings through AutoCAD on a HP Designjet T610 24in Plotter.
The plotter works for all of the systems apart from the 2 newest which are running Windows 7 64-bit.
When trying to install the printer (double clicking the printer within the Network) it follows the same routine each time:
"Connecting to Hp Designjet....."
Then proceeds with an error message "Windows cannot connect to the printer: error 0x000000007e"
I have updated the drivers and attempted everything I can think of. There is no possible way to connect the printer via USB or locally.
We also have a HP laserjet 3600 and this has no issues, everyone can access and print successfully.
Any help would be much appreciated.

After a few more tests and attempts at installing, at seems that whatever I use it cannot find the printer.
I have used HP's own utility software and it cannot connect (find) the printer on the network

This forum is focused on consumer level products. For the Designjet you may have better results posting in the HP Designjet forum here.
