HP Deskjet 1280, Only prints halfway through a sheet

Hi Everyone,

I've recently bought a HP Deskjet 1280 A3 size printer, I've managed to install it and get it working but when printing a full A3 sheet of drawings it will only print half the sheet then stop before producing an error message. I've tried changing numerous settings including checking the page size and orientation settings but to no avail.

If I change the quality to draft it will then print around 80% of the sheet before stopping in a similar manner. I've also tried just a text document and again on normal quality it'll print around 3/4 and on draft the full sheet.

I've tried reinstalling it and reinstalling the drivers as well as trying it on 2 other computers both with different OS's (XP & Vista). I got the driver direct from the HP website but it seems to be very old (2005) and I'm wondering if this could be an issue?

If not does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be? Apologies for the long post but its very fustrating to only get half your document churned out a printer.:smileysad:

Cheers Chris

Re: HP Deskjet 1280, Only prints halfway through a sheet

Hi,

I'm having similar issues regarding to print a 3 up-consecutive booklet type on indesign with my HP deskjet 1280.

The page format is 1000mm x 175mm.

The printer prints only around 80% of the spread and then stops when it's almoust finished.

I've printed successfully other 3 up-consecutive booklets  but I don't know how to manage this one.

Suggestions?

Thanks
