HP Deskjet F380 All-In-One Access is Denied Error Windows XP

Hello HP forums

I'm having some trouble on figuring out what to do with this error I keep running into trying to reinstall the F380 all in one software and drivers for Windows XP.

It started with the printer being offline all of the sudden and I couldn't get it work so I figured I should just reinstall it but the uninstall option wouldn't start up. So I downloaded the drivers and software thing for my printer off the HP website and was able to uninstall that way. All the files were still in the HP folder though. . . So I just deleted them just in case and I'm starting to think that was a mistake.

Anyway, using the same download I was able to start installing it again, check for updates, choose to install the extra things etc. And this is where my problem gets worse. Right around step 3 out of 4 I get an Access is Denied error.

I look at the details and notice it's the same folder over and over again (Digital Imaging) so I go into explorer and in the security tab for the folder I allowed full control for the user of this PC and try to install again. Now this time the error details are shorter but It seems to be the same folder, and this is where I get stumped and hoped someone online could point me in the right direction.

In the picture below is the error for anyone who might want to see.
