How do I set the HP LaserJet Pro M1530 MFP to pick paper from paper tray and not from the manual feed tray, both trays are loaded with paper.

Hi emoh3,
I am unable to find a Laserjet Pro M1530. Can you verify what the model number is for your printer?
If you have the Laserjet Pro 1536 printer you will need to remove the paper from the manual tray as the Manual and main tray use the same paper path and paper pick up rollers.

Hi, The exact model is HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP. It is hard to understand why older HP laserjet printer allow user to select main tray without removing paper form manual paper tray, but this new printer doesn't.

Hi emoh3,
With some printers the manual tray is separate from the other trays. On this printer the manual tray is using the same pickup feed system as the main feed tray which requires you to remove the paper if you want to print from the main tray. The manual tray for this printer is primarily used for envelopes or other special media you want to print.
