You can try installing a printer drivers of Windows 7 and use the print functionality of your printer.
Click Start, Devices and printers, add printer > add local printer > USB001 > choose brand and model > Windows Update > Select HP Laserjet 1015
While I am an HP employee, I am not a expert on all our products. When I offer advice, I'm not speaking for HP.

Vidya

I wish I had a better answer for you, but you are correct that there currently are no drivers posted at HP and the printer cannot just be connected to a Windows 7 PC at this time.
Please be assured that HP is driving hard to do all the work needed to get the drivers into the Operating system and posted to hp.com.
If I have helped you solve your issue please mark it as solved .....

Issue resolved... download the Vista 32 or 64 bit drivers and install them.
Make sure the usb is unplugged first then run the installer. When it asks for the printer, plug in the usb and VOILA!
Done and installed.
EAT THAT HP IT!

You must be doing something wrong because I am using Windows 7 running the HPLJ 1018 driver for Vista 64bit. Works like a charm.

Glad it worked for you - but I'm having a nightmare trying to get the 1018 to run on a Windows 7 64 bit machine (Dell T3400) and to network with a Dell Inspiron 32 bit.
SOMEHOW I had the 1018 working for a day or two with the Vista 64 bit driver - but although it could be seen by the other machines on the network, it wouldn't print from them (spooler stuck and the documents couldn't be deleted.
I've tried disabling bi-directional and I've also tried installing it on the 32 bit machine - but the Win 7 32 driver downloaded from HP refuses to run.
I've also tried to remove all HP drivers from both systems, but no success there either.
ANY suggestions welcome - I'm losing a lot of time on this at the moment ![]()
