ive been trying to download the driver for hp 1020 windows 7 64 bit and always get a corrupt file - bit comet says it fails the hash test.  is there another link or site i can get the driver from?  appreciate assistance

Hi! Try any other downloader OR let the windows 7 atomaticaly download driver from internet for you. Hope this wil lwork for you......regards

thanks to all who contributed. I finally got mine to work. I don't know what worked and what was overkill.

I uninstalled IE8 - didn't work

I disable bidirectional support, then it worked. 

I use the host-based driver ( not the basic plug and play)

I hope it continues to work. If I had to go through it again there will be bits of grey plastics scattered all over on the floor

The HP 1020 driver works in windows 7 64 Bit IF you disable bidirectional support under the Ports tab.  Took about an hour to figure this out.
