HP Laserjet 1022nw

I have a HP Laserjet 1022nw running on windows 7 and can't print from Internet Explorer 9. I can print from other programs from windows and adobe. The error is
there was an internal error, and internet explorer is unable to print this document.

What happens when you try printing from a different internet browser (Firefox, Safari or Chrome)?

Other browsers can print, even IE 8 but not IE 9. There is some incompatibility between the 1022 drivers and IE9 on w7 64 bit machines. HP ahsn't updated it's driver; it seems to have moved on to the 1100 series and left the 1000 series alone. . .

Hi shieber,
If you are successfully able to print from all applications, and other internet browsers on your system then the issue lays with IE9 not the printer software. You will need to contact Microsoft about the issues you are having with IE9. Have a wonderful day.

Hi shieber,
Can you print from a different internet browser (Chrome, Firefox or Safari)?
Can you print from a application (Notepad. Wordpad or Microsoft Word)?
If you are able to print from all applications with exception to IE 9 then the issue is not with the printer or software. If you were unable to print from a different browser or application I could see where it might be the software or driver, but you previously indicated that IE 9 is the only program having the problem.

This is the only printer that has the prob. MS said it was a known HP driver issue. HP hasn't updated the driver since well before Windows 7.

Check out the following KB document from Microsoft. There is no known issue with the driver and IE 9.

But none of those thoings apply. Go ahead and on your own machine. I tried on mine and none of those things are the issue.. The 1022 driver hasn't been updated since 2007.

Unfortunately, if you are successfully able to printer from applications and other internet browsers then the issue has to do with Microsoft Internet Explorer 9. You will need to contact Microsoft about this issue or you may need to use a different internet browser when you want to print to the printer.
