HP Laserjet 1536dnf won't scan to computer

Can't scan from Laserjet M1536dnf printer to computer. Working with Windows 7 64-bit.  Installation software stops loading at 99% and won't continue. Tried reinstalling drivers and software on HP site but didn't work. Any suggestions on how to get it to scan to computer?

Have you gotten the printer completely installed?

Do you get an error message?

Scanning from the printer to produce a copy works fine as does the print function from the computer. However, no software that allows adjusting settings or scanning into the computer is apparent. Have tried installing software fromt the disc that came with the printer but it stops at 99% and doesn't finish.

Uninstall the software you have already installed, and then download the full feature software and drivers from the link below. Once you have it downloaded use this version to install the printer. Let me know if you need additional assistance.

Had the same problem. Didn't notice that program was doing auto install to another installation on the computer. Only after deleting all installations and existing printers was I able to install.

4. Connection Method - USB, Hardwired LAN, Wireless?
5. Error messages - on printer screen and/or computer, any blinking light patterns.

I am facing the same problem. Printer works fine but scenner doesn't work. i am using Vista 32 bit. Please assist.
