HP Laserjet M1522nf

Dear All,

I have just bought a new HP Laserjet M1522nf but when I tried to install the software and driver using the CD. I have got the below error. I hope anyone that is experience is able to help. I am currently using XP SP3.

 

Error is "HP Cue DeviceDiscovery Services", Service:hpqddsvc.

 

No matter how many times I tried to do the installation from the CD, i will get this error. At timeof writing, the printer can now only print, rest of the function like scan, copy and fax are totally off due to the error. 

 

Appreciate immediate reply as I need to use it to do some scanning for some jobs.

Have you tried downloading the latest drivers from the hp website and installing those instead?

 

not that i have high confidence that will help. Whenever I try install the drivers fro my M1522nf the driver installer goes fine for a minute or two, and then hangs untill I kill it with task manager (I have even waited overnight)
