Hi,

i use my all in one printer including fax.

Fax works great but is it possible when an incoming fax can printing on tray 2?

Now when a fax is coming, the fax is take paper from tray 1.

The product you have is a commercial printer. I suggest posting in the HP Business Support forum for a better chance at finding a solution.

My understanding of paper trays, is if you change the order of the trays, it will always pull from that tray first. However, you can set up special settings under the Printer Preferences > Paper/Quality tab > Settings. Now saying that, I am not sure if this works for the fax settings. I know this works for the regular paper settings. If you feel up for experimenting around, then I would try and play around with a couple of settings and see what they do.

that doesnt works for fax.

I cant see an option to change the default tray for incoming fax.

I understand in the manual that the default is tray1, if tray1 is empty it use tray2. But thats not my solution.

There is special paper in tray 1 and when there is an incoming fax its always my special paper :-(.

Ok....found out some more information that should solve your issue:

You will need to access your Embedded Web Server (EWS) > locate the IP address of the printer > input that into a web browser > access the EWS.

Go to the System tab> Paper setup> keep your default settings the same > change your tray 1 settings to Letter, Any Size. Keep tray 2 settings > Any size, Any size. Save the settings.

By overriding the default settings, this should change where your paper pulls from.

Home office with 3 HP workstations each running licensed copies of Windows 7

and all networked into Homegroup

Laserjet Pro - wired network - working fine.

But it does not show up in Homegroup. It shows up in Network but only for properties.

Would like it to be part of homegroup, put a large thumbdrive on USB

(or maybe a usb HHD) for scan-to-usb and it to show up for all my

Homegroup. Please advise.

Maybe check your setting in the network center " share options " of Windows 7.
