When you locate RPC and RPC Locator were they turned on or off?

RPC installer stateup type: stated "manual" (I changed it to startup type: "automatic", service status" now "started"

With both RPC dependencies started and set to automatic locate the service "Service Process Launcher" make sure this is also started. If all are started reset and check once more. Then proceed to re-install the printer.

can only find "server" under "services"

Is there some where else I can look for it ?.

It is set as automatic & started

I'm sorry I realized I didn't finish the service name. The service to check is "DCOM Service Process Launcher". Make sure it is running and set to automatic. I also appreciate your patience, this type of install error isn't always an easy or quick fix.

Try the following proceedure and let me know if anything changes. If you see any errors please take a screenshot of the error window and add it to a post.

From Original installation CD:

1. Insert CD into drive, and then cancel the installer

2. Open My Computer, and then right click on the CD drive and chose open

3. Open folder Util

4. Open folder CCC

5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe

6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer

7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools

8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

9. Download the full feature software and drivers

10. Run the download to reinstall the printer

If software was downloaded and extracted to your system:

1. Type %temp% in the run field

2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)

3. Open folder Util

4. Open folder CCC

5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe

6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
