Hi everyone.
I have had my Officejet 5510 for about four years, and up until this point it has worked perfectly.
A couple of days ago I plugged it into the socket and flicked the on switch at the wall. The three buttons (Copy, Fax, Scan) flashed briefly once with a green light, and then nothing else followed.
I pressed the 'On' button on top of the Officejet, but the machine didn't turn on. There were no more lights, no strange noises. Absolutely nothing.
I have tried plugging it into different sockets in different rooms of the house, all to no avail.
Some people have said it may be the charger that is at fault - is this the same as the plug and power cable?
Any diagnosis of what is wrong with my Officejet would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou,
Horton24

I had some other problems with mine, so I threw it out. HP no longer supports it. Now, what you describe does sound like a power supply issue. I did keep my working power supply, and it's your's for the cost of shipping.
Let me know what to do.
Take care.
Steve
