HP PSC 2410 Photosmart, Error message

HP PSC 2410 Photosmart, Win XP. I have not used the printer for 2 years, not had any need to. But now I want to start using it again, and after turning it on I keep getting 'Remove and check colour cartridge'. I have changed both cartridges for brand new HP branded ones, but still keep on getting the same error message. I have cleaned the contacts as per advised fron the HP Website, still no change. I have carried out a reset for the printer, but that's had no effect. Any Ideas,
