I cannot get the disc to load the software on my windows 7 Toshiba P500 laptop, it brings up the screen that says in order to continue with the installation it is necessary to restart the computer to remove files. The installation screen only gets that far on restart and then tells you to restart to remove files again. The install will not go past the checking the computer stage. I have tried downloading the drivers and software from the HP site but the same problem occurs. I was able to load to load all the software from the disc on my old XP laptop with no problems.
The plug-and-play for the usb on the Toshiba also does the same thing,it detects that there are no drivers for the D110 and when Windows downloads the drivers the install fails in exactly the same manner. Any ideas out there?

Hello Grackle53
I would try performing an L3/L4 Uninstall. It should remove all HP printer related software on your computer so that you may do a clean install of the printer. It may resolve the problem you are receiving.
From Original installation CD:
1. Insert CD into drive, and then cancel the installer
2. Open My Computer, and then right click on the CD drive and chose open
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
9. Download the full feature software and drivers
10. Run the download to reinstall the printer
If software was downloaded and extracted to your system:
1. Type %temp% in the run field
2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
9. Download the full feature software and drivers
10. Run the download to reinstall the printer

Hi Travis,
I tried the L4 uninstall, still doesn't work. The install still fails the same way with the full software download from the site. I have the latest Flash Player as well. Anything else I can try?

Hello Crackle53
Can you attach a screenshot of the stage the install will not go past?
Have you tried to use your printer on the network rather than USB?
Also have you tried switching the USB cable?

As I was scrolling through solutions for other all-in-ones on another thread I seem to have discovered the solution. I had managed to install drivers to do printing through a USB cable but nothing else. After deleting the D110a from Devices and Printers, then click on another device and select Print server properties.Select the driver tab and then select the D110a drivers and select remove.Click on remove drivers and driver package. Restart computer after the driver and package is removed. Then load the software from the cd.
I wish I could remember which thread that was on here but it all worked fine after that.
