HP Photosmart C3180 wont re-install arghhh :(

Hi,

So a while ago my laptop after being turned on, would come up with "Missing trayapp.msi"

Some research of my own suggetsed that it was printer issues.

So yesterday i uninstalled my printer

This seemed to stop the message comming up.

I then thought to reinstall the software.

I have a windows 7 64bit laptop and my Printer is HP Photosmart C3180 All in one

However, on the first stage of installation, checking system, an error message come sup saying missing file. And begins unistalling what had been installed. However even on the uninstalling it freezes at exactly the same point and i have to force programme to close.

I have no idea why this is happening. HP after the error automatically put on my desktop various things it could have been and soloutions. I tired them all still o luck.

Hi, use the scrubber built into the C3180 installation CD:
1. Insert CD into drive, and then cancel the installer
2. Open My Computer, and then right click on the CD drive and select open
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. For a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
7. Download and install the latest Adobe Flash player

I no longer have the CD I download the driver from the HP website.

1. Type %temp% in the run field.
2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356, you may have more than one)
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
7. Download and install the latest Adobe Flash player
