HP Photosmart C7200 series (C7280) Installed Driver (PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140)

Scanner Driver did not install properly. Windows 7 SP1 x64

Anyone have any thoughts on where I can get a driver that will install on Win 7 x64 correctly?

What error(s) are you getting exactly?

The Scanner Driver did not install and windows can't see the scanner so I can scan. I looked at the software that the package installed and the only application I see is HP Photosmart Essentials and I don't see a way to scan with that. The Photosmart C7200 series has a yellow exclamation in device manager and this message.

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.


To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Try using the scrubber built into the CD or Download.

From Original installation CD:

1. Insert CD into drive, and then cancel the installer

2. Open My Computer, and then right click on the CD drive and chose open

3. Open folder Util

4. Open folder CCC

5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe

6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer

7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools

8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

9. Download the full feature software and drivers

10. Run the download to reinstall the printer

1. Type %temp% in the run field

2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)

6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer

I don't have orignal CD. In my first post I stated that I installed the fill drivers that I just downloaded.

Tried the update and it keeps saying there is no internet connection.

Do you have an internet connection?

Run the steps again, and then let me know if you are still unable to get the printer installed?

Yes I have an internet connection, while HP Update says there is no connection both IE & FireFox can get to the internet fine. Chrome was also able to reach the internet fine. I will follow your procedure to uninstall and reinstall again and give you the results. I expect the same result though as this is the 3rd time I have followed this procedure. This is a brand new Lenove W520 Laptop with Windows 7 x64. The machine is clean without a lot of applications installed.
