HI KGPearce,
How are you attempting to connect the printer to the computer?
If you have a relative or friend that would allow you to test the printer it would help isolate a hardware failure with the printer.

The scanner is actually the part that is installing incorrectly I think. I'm trying to connect to the scanner with the HP Software.

Hi KGPearce,
Can you make a copy from the printer in standalone mode?
Run the following utility, and let me know what errors you recieve?

Hi KGPearce,
Below is a screenshot of a few of my printer with the same thing you are seeing. This will not stop the printer from working correctly.
Can you print & scan with the printer?
Is this the same screen you are referring to?

Yes, Is HP Going to put out an update to fix that? Windows keeps reporting error messages.

Hi KGPearce,
Thank you for reporting this issue. I will check into this a little deeper to see what is being done. I am glad to hear that the printer is working despite the code 28 error under Other devices.

Hi KGPearce,
Need to run a print head cleaning on the printer to see if the print quality improves.
