HP Photsmart C7280 - Flashing lights and blue screen error messages when printer turned off.

HP Photosmart C7280 All in One.

This 3 year old printer seemed to install OK when I connected it via a wireless modem/router.

Both my Tower and Lap Top  have  printed ok for months. They both use Windows 7 64-bit.

Just recently when the printer was left turned off for a few days all its lights started to flash.

If I disconnect  and the reconnect the power and modem/router cables, the printer will work ok again until it is turned off.

The lights will then start flashing again.  I also get 2 blue screen error messages when the power is off and the lights are flashing..

The blue screen error code B8SIFE84 always appears and once I have seen the blue screen error code B3772734 appear as well.

I have removed and reinstalled the device using the correct HP printer software and downloaded and installed all the relevant  printer updates that I can find. Still the problem persists.

Any help, ideas or thoughts about of what to do to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Have sussed it out.
Power unit is "cactus blacktus cactorum".
It doesn't know when it is turned off.
Looks like it's a new printer for "watto" so buy HP shares and buy a 5 year warranty with the new printer.

Just wanted to clarify, did you mean the power cord, or internal (as I think you meant)

Yes "the _darknight6".

The internal power supply unit was history.

My best understanding is - It appears that it did not know it was turned off and went looking for the modem/router anyway. When it could not connect properly it went into some sort of light flashing error mode.
