I have tried to install my Daughter's C4780 printer. I have done it exactly as instructed. When it tells me to attach the USB connection, the menu window on the printer never gets to the "language" list on the display. It just keeps having the bar run across the screen. Even if I disconnect the printer and disconnect the power to the printer, and turn it back on, it does the same thing. It is on a Windows 7 32 bit laptop. It will show up in the computer. but the printer just keeps having the bar run across and cannot get it to display anything different. Any help would be appreicated. Thank you

It appears that you are having a hardware failure with the printer. This would not be related to the USB connection to the computer. Power cycle the printer for 1 to 2 minutes, and then make sure the power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet. If you still have the issue please call our technical support at 800-474-6836.
