HP laserjet M1522nf All-in-One printer not able to reinstall-

 I have a HP Laserjet M1522nf All-in-One printer/ Product # C8534A. My computer system is Windows XP. I receive this error "Fatal Error and MSI.Discovery. The hard drive on my computer was recently repaired and now I cannot reinstall printer.

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling? If the hard drive was repaired , some files may have become corrupt.

Yes, I have tried that several times and it will get to 94% and then i will get an error.

You should be able to print and scan at the point that failure is encountered. The DeviceDiscovery stuff isn't need with this device and is only there for compatibility with other HP devices. When the error occurs, you should be able to open task manager and kill the hpzsetup.exe process and make use of the device. Alternately, you should be able to install this software as well.

Here is a document that talks about this error and an alternate install method that might help you out.
