Re: Help with cold reset for M1536dnf

wow, so informative!

that is sarcasm.

so what was the fix. you resolved it out side of the forum. the whole idea is to make it easier for someone to find an answer that someone else already found a fix for.

I am in the same situation and ned a fix for this and you have hidden it from us.

Re: Help with cold reset for M1536dnf

Yes I get your sarcasm.  What should also be obvious is that manufucturers frequently omit sensitive information from user manuals, and discourge dissemination of such info on support forums, out of security concerns.  I've experienced this with devices I've owned from other manufacturers, and it was pretty clear after finding no trace of this in the manual that this is what was going on here as well.

I don't really agree with this practice, as it just makes life more difficult for the enduser for what amounts to probably little extra protection against any serious hacker.  But it is what it is.  Anyway PCWizard was very helpful and hopefully he can help resolve your issue as well.

Ouch!

I've been following this since February as I have the same issue.  I understand the security thing and all, but ok whatever.  Can someone get back to me with the process.

Re: Help with cold reset for M1536dnf

Yes the info resolved out problem. The process was very quick and simple. Thank you for your help.

I do understand that manufacturers keep sensetive info to themselves, but they also keep more spells than they sould. I do hope this instance is just because they don't want the solutions posted, but don't mind it being given word of mouth. It makes some sense security wise.

Anyway, thanks for your help and again the process does work and is very simple.
