Hi, all!
I just fresh installed a brand new HP LaserJet 1536dnf MFP,
in a networked environment:
- unpacked, mounted all, plugged in & started;
- printed demo & menu structure;
- on the miniLCD palel of the printer "Security" was "off" and I left it so;
- setup static IPv4 settings (no DHCP server on the network);
- accessed via "http://ip.address.of.printer/" via Internet Explorer;
- formed a password in Notepad (mostly letters), to protect the settings;
- entered "http://ip.address.of.printer/ --> System --> ???"
- copied from Notepad and pasted in the two fields the password;
- the interface accepted and promted me for 'username" and "password"
- didn't noticed any username, so I left it blank and pasted the password;
- the web interface do not allow me anymore to login;
- on the microLCD panel, in the Settings section, ask for a password;
- installed the drivers (Win7x64) on the printer works well via network;
- no access to microLCD panel settings;
- no access to the web interface settings.
The password I used is quite "HP LaserJet 1536dnf MFP" (without quotes
but with uppercase /lowercase and spaces as shown), exactly as writen
on the printer.
How can I re-gain access to the settings?
If necessary I shall "cold reset" it but... how?
Can you help me, please?
Thank you!
