I can't find the printer driver Color Laserjet cp2020, can't uninstall.

I have an HP Color Laserjet CP2020dn printer. It prints great, I want to print ONLY BLACK. I  installed software per directions-still can't see the right printer drive where I can click on Properties or Preferences as per directions,  to choose black or white or color. I've read - http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00872734&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3673580 and can't  UNINSTALL because I don't see the HP EWS Device Configuration folder, etc. that the page mentions. I have done searches; it's not there, neither is the HP Laserjet Software folder.  thanks, Joe

Re: I can't find the printer driver Color Laserjet cp2020, can't uninstall.

If you set to print something, you should get the "box" right click on the "printing prefernce" in there click on tab for" color management" should be able to switch .

Might have to do it manuslly each time not sure.

If you want permanent change might try "remove add hardware" se if you can get to device setings in there to change default setings.

Good Luck

Re: I can't find the printer driver Color Laserjet cp2020, can't uninstall.

Hi, thanks for the reply...I use Apple system so don't have right and left click mouse. But, when I go to File>Page Setup the only box that appears is the

typical Apple box with no choice as to "fit to page" or color choice. There are no tab choices like  the Help booklet shows. I found out how to uninstall but it

tells me to remove  certain folders and they are no where in my HardDrive. I think there was a major installation problem but I followed directions. I can get

printer to print Black only by adjusting the choices in the window on the printer itself. But, I should be able to do it with that Printer Driver box which does not

appear. I will try to install again. thanks, jC

Re: I can't find the printer driver Color Laserjet cp2020, can't uninstall.

try going to HP sight see if there are any updates to your software. They sometimes do that and problem is solved. I am guessing you reid their online troubleshooting.

If not that might be only other option. If unit is stil in warranty cal them and tell them it doesn't work properly, maybe they can send you a new disk, I've had problems with that in past.

Make sure u let them know it's for a mac not a pc.

Good Luck

Nan, that's a good idea, although the product was built in Jan 09 there might have been some bugs in the software, so I will check for a new download. I don't think it's installing properly because the instructions to "uninstall" tell me to delete certain folders....and, they are not even there!! (although the printer prints perfectly....without all the "fit to page", and color choices...)  I've read all the

Q&A's with no help...and printed out all the .pdf instruction files...i'll keep trying later tonight. thanx.
